Psych Perspectives is looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Life Mentors. Starting rate at $20 per hour.

 

This is an opportunity to gain valuable one-on-one, direct client experience while supporting individuals as they work toward clarity, direction, decision-making, and follow-through.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Life Mentor, you’ll work directly with the client’s therapist as well as the client, often in their homes or in the community, to:

 

  • Identify challenges and barriers getting in the way

  • Help establish priorities and direction

  • Support decision-making and next steps

  • Work through obstacles and adjust approaches

  • Provide ongoing accountability and encouragement

  • Meet clients in locations that minimize stressors and maximize impact

 

Qualifications

 

·      Bachelor’s degree in a health-related science or helping field (social work, psychology, etc)

·      Prefer individuals on the pathway to receiving their masters in one of the above mentioned fields

 

You’ll have the opportunity to develop meaningful experience working directly with clients, building skills in communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, professional boundaries, and individualized support.

 

This experience can be especially valuable for individuals interested in mental health, psychology, counseling, social work, human services, education, or other helping professions.
